A compact straddle monoblock refrigeration system designed for small commercial freezer cold rooms. Operating between -25°C and -10°C, this self-contained R290 unit provides a practical refrigeration solution for restaurants, cafés, pubs, takeaways and other commercial food businesses.
The compact straddle design is particularly useful where floor space inside the cold room needs to be maximised.
What is a Straddle Monoblock?
A straddle monoblock is a complete refrigeration system contained within one unit that is designed to sit over – or “straddle” – the top edge of the cold room wall panel.
Rather than having a separate indoor evaporator and outdoor condensing unit connected by refrigerant pipework, the main refrigeration components are incorporated into a single compact assembly.
Part of the unit sits inside the cold room to circulate and cool the refrigerated air, while the other section remains outside the cold room to reject the heat.
This provides a neat, space-saving refrigeration solution and avoids having a large refrigeration unit taking up valuable storage space inside the cold room.
